Almost one year ago, the Cincinnati Tea Party held their first gathering on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati, drawing five thousand citizens to protest excessive spending and taxation. The last year has borne witness to a groundswell of citizen involvement in numerous protests and rallies, culminating in widespread involvement in the political process. The Cincinnati Tea Party and Community Tea Party groups now boast thousands of members throughout southwest Ohio, actively involved in promoting the election of fiscally conservative candidates.
