Cap and Trade House Response
Primary Goals
1. Influence the House vote on healthcare and future issues.
2. Influence the Senate Cap and Trade Vote.
Strategy
Following through on consequences for the House vote on Cap and Trade will show both the Senate and the House that there are consequences to their decisions on such critical issues.
By implementing consequences both the House and Senate will be on notice that their actions will have consequences for them.
Action Plan
Contact the Republican National Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee. We will pressure them to withhold
support from the Republicans who don't live up to the stated conservative values of their party.

RNC
Hello…
As a Conservative, who has supported Republicans and the RNC in the past, I just want to let you know that there are certain things
that are unforgivable. Among these are support of the Cap and Trade and Healthcare reform bills currently in congress.
I’m calling specifically to let you know that I will withhold all future support from the RNC if it does not condemn and
financially cut off all Representatives and Senators who vote for, or have already voted for, either Cap and Trade and Healthcare
reform.
In short, if they see another dime from you, you’ll never see another dime from me. And, I expect this pulling of support by
the RNC, for such individuals, to be public, prominent, and permanent.
There can be no forgiveness or second chances for issues of this magnitude and I will no longer be held hostage by the notion of
future performance.
